Beyond the game
The real Thecodontosaurus
It was a small herbivorous sauropodomorph, about two meters long, that walked on two legs. It is among the first dinosaurs discovered by science.
Its body of about two meters contrasts with the image of the giant long necks. The first members of a branch can have very different proportions and ways of holding themselves.
This grouping describes evolutionary relationships. Its members share ancestors; they do not form a chain in which one must turn into another.
