Lusotitan

Its elongated humerus was one of the characteristics used to relate it to brachiosaurids.

Lusotitan documents brachiosaurids in the Iberian Peninsula from the Late Jurassic.

Beyond the game

The real Lusotitan

It was a plant-eating sauropod belonging to the brachiosaurid family. Its fossils show that this lineage lived on the Iberian Peninsula during the Late Jurassic.

Its long humerus, the upper arm bone, helped link it to the brachiosaurid family. Comparing a limb bone with the rest of the available skeleton can reveal important clues about relationships.

This grouping describes evolutionary relationships. Its members share ancestors; they do not form a chain in which one must turn into another.
