Beyond the game
The real Murusraptor
The partial skeleton was found in Neuquén, Argentina, in rocks of the Sierra Barrosa Formation. Preserved parts include pieces of the head, ribs, pelvis and a leg.
Spaces inside certain bones do not mean the fossil was malformed. In many dinosaurs they are linked to air-sac systems, and studying them helps researchers investigate breathing and how the skeleton was made lighter.
