Beyond the game
The real Gigantoraptor
It reached approximately eight meters and had elongated legs and arms. Its vertebrae had large air spaces, a way to lighten the skeleton of a very large animal.
The cavities of its vertebrae show another part of its construction: a skeleton can be voluminous without being solid in all its areas. These differences are investigated from the bones.
This grouping describes evolutionary relationships. Its members share ancestors; they do not form a chain in which one must turn into another.
